(2 Corinthians 5:12)
(This site was not developed with the intention of drawing a large number of visitors using trivial methods and shallowness. There is rejoicing among the angels of God over even one sinner that repents and believes in Jesus Christ. (Luke 15:10) If, for as long as this site is in existence, only one sinner is lead to repentance and belief with the aid of the material presented here, then the purpose of this site has been served.)
I Confess: Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. (1John 4:1-3; 2John 7)

It is Most Important...
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, AND HAVE NOT CHARITY, I AM BECOME AS SOUNDING BRASS, OR A TINKLING CYMBAL. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, AND HAVE NOT CHARITY, I AM NOTHING. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, AND HAVE NOT CHARITY, IT PROFITETH ME NOTHING.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is CHARITY.

I CONFESS: Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.
(1 John 4:1-3; 2 John 1:7)
Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Jesus Christ is Lord.
"The promotion of unity at the expense of truth is satanic; it is demonic; it is not true unity. It is not the unity of the Holy Spirit for He is the Spirit of Truth. The Scriptural command which we have in Ephesians to promote the unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace is given to those who have a common foundation of truth. Truth by its very nature divides.Where you have appeal to unity at the expense of truth all you can produce is uniformity."
- William Webster
Do you imagine that the Gospel is magnified or God glorified by going to worldlings and telling them that they “may be saved at this moment by simply accepting Christ as their personal Savior” while they are wedded to their idols and their hearts are still in love with sin? If I do so, I tell them a lie, pervert the Gospel, insult Christ, and turn the grace of God into lasciviousness.
- A.W. Pink
There are many today who regard truth and error as matters of small consequence; if a man lives rightly, they say, it matters not much what his beliefs and opinions are. Such statements do not surprise us. Night and day are all one to a blind man. Truth and error are all one to an ignorant man.
- Martyn Lloyd Jones
As the apostle says to Timothy, so also he says to everyone, 'Give yourself to reading.' He who will not use the thoughts of other men's brains (inspired by the Holy Spirit) proves that he has no brains of his own. You need to read. Renounce as much as you will all light literature, but study as much as possible sound theological works, especially the Puritanic writers and expositions of the Bible. The best way for you to spend your leisure is to be either reading or praying.
- C. H. Spurgeon
We should aim to speak as in the sight of God. We are to ask ourselves not, 'what did the people think of me?', but, 'what was I in the sight of God?'
- J. C. Ryle
Away, then, with those prophets who say to Christ's people, "Peace, peace," where in there is no peace. Hail, hail to all those prophets who say to Christ's people, "The cross, the cross," where there is no cross. Christians should be exhorted to be zealous to follow Christ, their Head, through penalties, deaths, and hells; And let them thus be more confident of entering heaven through many tribulations rather than through a false assurance of peace.
- Martin Luther
(Theses 92-95)
Woe to him that takes up the fame of godliness instead of godliness! ‘Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.’
- Richard Baxter
In these days of health care for all, education for all, rights for all, and opportunity for all, it seems almost inevitable that the Gospel of Jesus Christ would be obscured by the popular religious teaching of salvation for all. The democratic ideals of equality and equal opportunity have invaded theology as well as politics.
- John Robbins
It's hard to find a liberal liberal.
- R.C. Sproul
I'm always amazed by the people who, despite God's clear and emphatic commands through the Apostle Paul, say things like, "Ah, we need to forget about the differences in our doctrines, and we just need to love one another." as though those two are consistent goals. Surely they haven't come to realize that the only way we can love right is to live right, and the only way we can live right is to believe right.
- Mark Kielar
Time doesn't forgive sin.
- Jeff Noblit
The student of the New Testament should be primarily an historian. The centre and core of all the Bible is history. Everything else that the Bible contains is fitted into an historical framework and leads up to an historical climax. The Bible is primarily a record of events.
- J. Gresham Machen
One of these days some simple soul will pick up the Book of God, read it, and believe it. Then the rest of us will be embarrassed.
- Leonard Ravenhill
I remember when I used to ask Jesus into my heart as a child over and over again. Each time I intended to make absolutely sure that I was saved. Why do we do that? Why is it in some churches that we see the same people walking down the aisle week after week? Perhaps it is because we are looking to something we can do, or have done, to secure the kind of assurance we need. But we can't trust our feelings or our abilities of either will or effort, so we're left with having to trust in the ability of God, 'who is able to keep you from falling' (Jude 24).
-Michael Horton
We must not forget that historic Christianity stands on a basis of antithesis. Without it historic Christianity is meaningless.
- Francis A. Schaeffer
I find it so funny that so many people ask and can't answer the question as to why God has done everything He's ever done. They say it's a mystery. I say it's not. I say they ought to read Ephesians. Do you want to know why God has done everything He's ever done? Do you want to know why there was a garden, why there was a fall, why there was a Christ, why there was a Cross, why there was a resurrection, and why there's you? Do you really want to know? Do you have enough time... or is your Christianity looking at the clock?

Quote:
"Get a single, solitary thought in your mind, and that thought - the precious love of Jesus. Go and live it out, and come what may, you will be respected though abused. They may say you are an enthusiast, a fanatic, a fool, but those names from the world are titles of praise and glory. The world does not take the trouble to nickname a man unless he is worth it. It will not give you any censure unless it trembles at you. The moment they begin to turn at bay, it is because they feel they have a man to do with."
- Charles Haddon Spurgeon
What I Believe:
Some people may wonder why I read books by "a bunch of dead guys". My reply is, "If I did, I would read books by Richard Dawkins (a professed atheist), Howard Stern (radio personality), or Ron Jeremy (a pornographer) who are still on this earth and walk amongst us." Men like Charles Spurgeon, A. W. Pink, and Jonathan Edwards wrote messages that are more alive today than many of the evangelicals that roam this land. Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, and He was on this earth 2,007 years ago. Does he change? Does the truth? If I'm reading a book by a man who went to sleep in Christ in 1692, was that not only 1,692 years since Christ has been on the earth? Is not the truth the same in 1692 as it was 2,007 years ago as it is today? Jesus Christ never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Heb. 13:8) If we distinguish truth only to those who still walk among us today, then we make the Bible itself obsolete and of none effect. Jesus, the truth Himself, is alive forever, never to die again, and is seated at the right hand of God this very moment to make intercession for those coming to God through Him. (Rom. 8:34, Heb. 12:2)
With all the talk in the world about which denomination has it right, or what's right: a Mega church or traditional, there's something that dawned on me that I'm sure not many people know: There is a temple talked about in the New Testament. This temple presented doctrine preaching against sin and for repentance. This temple used the law to convict people of sin. This temple taught that Jesus is the Christ, and is the Son of God. This temple taught to believe only in Jesus Christ. This temple taught eternal condemnation is for the people who do not. The doctrine of this temple taught justification by faith alone. This temple taught remission of sins for everyone who believes and repents. This temple taught to take NO thought for what you're going to wear, whether it be choir robes, Jesus T-shirts, business suits, North Face stuff, or rock and roll t-shirts, because who can add one cubit to their stature doing so, anyway? This temple taught to only serve God and not money so you should take no thought for tomorrow, what you're going to eat, or what you're going to drink; that the people that take thought for these things are called Gentiles and don't know God. The doctrine of this temple held that many are going to come up to Jesus at the last day and call him Lord, but He’s going to tell them to depart because He never knew them. This temple taught that traditions of man are worth nothing; that salvation comes by realizing that you’ve broken God’s law, believing in Jesus and repenting of your transgression of the law because there is no other way to the Father than through the Son. This temple taught that if you do, you’ll never die. This temple taught that Jesus didn't come to destroy the law or the prophesies, but he came to fulfill them. This temple taught that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Well, what did the people do to this temple? They mocked it. They hated it. They cursed it. They reviled it. They said it and the doctrine it taught was Satanic. There were very learned men in other temples; some could even recite the Scriptures and said this temple taught nothing that was of God, and that it presented some of the most ungodly doctrine they had ever heard. These men said that only ignorant people could believe such "nonsense". They were so filled with envy and rage by the doctrine being presented by this temple that several times they attempted to destroy it, but they were not able to. The day came, though, and finally they succeeded. Well, do you know what happened? After three days, this temple was rebuilt and can never be destroyed again.
